The Chapter was lead in a decade of the Rosary by Chapter Treasurer Louis J. Benavides who is also a member of St. James Council 7770.
Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by Chapter President Rudy Escamilla at 7:30 pm
Opening Prayer: Pray was lead by Bishop Tom Flanagan.
Pledge of Allegiance:
Warden’s Report: Worthy Warden Roy Ball reported 87 members present.
Recognition of Guests and VIPs: All Former State officers, directors and committeemen, former chapter Presidents were recognized
We had a presentation from the American Red Cross from Volunteer Recording Artist Patsy Torres and Marco A. Banda who are leading the recruiting efforts to develop a Hispanic Crisis Team to be used in Bexar county. The Disaster Volunteer Reserves (DVR). To sign up you can call 210-224-5151 and ask to be transfers to Disaster services with T. J. Anderson. Also have a disaster kit in every home that should include water, batteries and radio.
Brother Vic Koegle from New Braunfel council spoke on Pro-Life the Gabriel Project. Develop one Sunday appeal asking for a renewable $35 annual appeal. It raised over $8,000. The Lord is requesting the men to use our business skills in the battle for Pro-Life. We as men should assembly in strength. The program is called “Mark Your Door for Mary” Campaign. If a woman needs help all she needs to know is to find a house with the MARK. “It is our intention to lift the “Mark Your Door for Mary” Campaign in Texas by asking the Knights of Columbus to help carry the campaign into as many Catholic churches as possible in January 2008.”

Minutes. Minutes of the May meeting were approved.
Chapter Chaplain Bishop Tom Flanagan.
Bishop Flanagan spoke about a lady from Edna, Texas in Jackson County stopped and called and left a message on his answering machine. Bishop stated that he had just handled a couple of complaints and upon hearing the message it brought pure joy. It is the little things in life that transform us, it is the little things that create in us pure change.
He encouraged all GK to write a simple card thanking each of your officers for their help. It is important to appreciate all of your volunteers. In the name of Archbishop Gomez and myself we thank all of the Knights for their help. Bishop Flanagan thanked all of us and blessed all of us in this coming year to be full of challenges, charity and love.
Election of Officers
Roy Ball and Henry Gonzalez was selected to run the elections since the two trustees are running for office.
Nominees
President - Rudy Escamilla of Council 4140. Brother Escamilla was elected by acclamation.
VP – Diego Peña of Council 10240. Brother Peña was elected by acclamation.
Treasurer – Charles Green of Council 11596. Brother Green was elected by acclamation.
President’s report - Chapter President Rudy Escamilla reported that there is an interest to again have the December meeting.
There will be an open house for the Patrick Flores Residence hall at Assumption Seminary. There will also be a fund raiser for at $200 per person. Cardinal George of Chicago and many other Bishops and Archbishops.
The August meeting has been rescheduled for August 22 due to Seminary Residnece Hall Dedication is also schedule for the 15th of Augusr have been some exciting things that have happen in the past month.
Treasurer’s report (Louis Benavides):
The beginning balance was $ 1304.15 on April 30, 2007.

Chapter Committees:
1. Golf Tournament.
Rusty League gave a financial report. There are extra bags, shirts, hats and items for sale. Rusty reported that the committee will allow council representatives so they can have an opportunity to buy the next tournament will be April 14, 2008 at the Hyatt.
2. Habitat for Humanity - Henry Gonzales.
Henry Gonzales. Brother Henry reported about the build days. November 3 is the last building date, with the dedication on November 14 2007. On July 10th will have a luncheon where the check will be presented to Habitat for Humanity.
3. Coordinator of Religious Activities. Wayne Pipes.
Seminarian Support: Angel Perez spoke on the need to cover new seminarians who will register in the Fall.
4. Men's Retreat. Deacon Roy Amo has picked a retreat team.
5. Trustees. Audit in July, report in August.

VA Memorial Day: Brother Henry Gonzelez reported that the event was a very successful one. He requested that he would like to have more participation of those knights who do not participate in something already on that day.
Diocesan Deputy Report - The Diocesan conference on Saturday July 22 will begin at 8 am with registration. We are looking for a location to host the Diocesan Conference. Brother Wade mention that he has been reappointed for another year as the Diocesan Deputy. There are eight new DD appointed and there have been some realignment of councils due to the requirement of the DD home council must be in the district
Fourth Degree. No report.
State Directors and Committee Reports:
Assistant to State Deputy: Jerome Janecka. The state has received many complaints on why the state did not publish a state directory. It is important that all councils FS provide the state with form 185. We still have 24 councils that have not submitted the form 758 on Council Activities

Special Olympics. Absent.
Guest Speakers:
Council 9681 Keeping Christ in Christmas by Wilson Petefish. Car magnet at a cost of $250 recommended to sell for $3 to $5 each as a fund raiser. He has received 10,000 in stock and he is ready to distribute them to councils.
Fred Garcia from Little Flower Council 6833 they have sweepstakes of $10,000. The cost of the sweepstakes is $100 on June 25th from 4-6pm.
Earl Mills spoke on the Allied Catholic Women center. They saved 52 babies in the last year but in doing so they incurred debts of $14,000. The knights from his council are helping to raise the money for this great organization.
Doyle Beilstein, Blessed Sacrament Council 7016 is having a sweepstakes cost $50 for a grand prize of $5,000.
The Next meeting will be July 18 at Council 4183 Hall in New Braunfels. It will be an open meeting (spouses invited) for the installation of officers. Dinner at 7:30 pm.
The sick and in distress were remembered.
Closing Prayer was led by Bishop Flanagan and the meeting was adjourned.
